Collective2: New monthly charge: $19.95 per profitable month

To bring membership costs in line with my newsletter subscription I have reduced the cost of subscribing to my Collective2 portfolio from $49.95 per month to $19.95. In addition, Collective2 Subscribers will be eligible to receive my newsletter at no extra cost. Charges are only made for months in which the portfolio is profitable (as calculated by Collective2.com).

The Collective2 portfolio is a test system utilizing stock picks featured on my blog and in my newsletter. The portfolio also utlizes my recommended money management system and all positions feature stop and target prices. The system does not compound gains and is based on implementing individual trades in the $5-15K range.

Blog.fallondpicks.com: IRS out

Another tick error has resulted in a beneficial trade. It may still turn out to be a profitable trade - but the fill at "$16.40" probably should have been "$18.40". If this makes it to $19.51 it will confirm the +$1,135 profit on a 500 share lot. The stop goes at $18.03. The stock closed at $18.75 for a +4.75% gain.

I have reduced the cash exposure from it's prior 100% to about 55% in light of the short term bullish conditions as confirmed by the week's "W"-bottom.

Sample post (from Fallond Trade History)

I use my Collective2 portfolio has a "real world" example of using the stocks featured in my newsletter and blog in combination with a suggested money management strategy. I have marked on the hashed line - which represents the S&P - the degree of market exposure as recommended to my newsletter Subscribers. The solid line reflects the returns of my picks with a little extra fine tuning to my suggested stop prices (all trades carry a fixed stop price).

I was looking for aggressive positions last summer when market internals were oversold, easing those recommendations towards a cash conservative stance in mid-November. The flattening of the equity curve and the small losses taken in December and February represented this 'cash-friendly' portfolio - which also meant I missed out on the Santa-rally and New Year follow up. The flip side was no impact from last weeks sell off.

I'm watching currently watching internals for new oversold conditions and an opportunity to go more aggressive into stocks.

For those wanting my newsletter I accept KIVA gift certificates as payment. For those instead wanting the fine tuned trades of the Collective2 portfolio then subscribe here.

Posting to "Trading Systems"

This is a Trading Systems Blog as edited by Declan Fallon. It is part of Fallond Stock Picks Inc White Label Program. It is an opportunity for vendors of successful stock systems to talk about their systems and detail some of their best (and worst) trades.

This blog will operate on a trial basis.

As editor I reserve the right to edit, or exclude submissions deemed inappropiate or offensive. Profanity and flaming will not be tolerated. Editing of posts will likely be limited to adding the necessary White Label link to the post. Vendor abuse will result in exclusion from posting.

I am looking for active contributors from established Collective2 vendors operating sustainable systems. To achieve this I will rank systems (as displayed in the right-hand-margin) based on monthly Subscriber revenue (as generated through my White Label Program), from top-to-bottom. It is hoped this ranking system will give potential Subscribers a better idea as to how good a system is from the people actually paying for them. Obviously, there are limits to this ranking; a system with a higher net income generated from fewer subscribers but carrying a higher charge will out rank a system with more subscribers, but a lower charge, whose overall net income is less. During my monthly review of the 10 systems I will note which systems gained the most subscribers (independent of revenue generated - so a free system could do well) - but this information will not impact on how the systems will be displayed as per my revenue measurement. Where systems are ranked equally by revenue the deciding factor will be absolute subscriber numbers achieved for that month (i.e. where net income for the month is equal between systems; a system charging less but gaining more subscribers will out-rank a system charging more but gaining less subscribers). I don't claim this to be a totally fair system - the purpose of this ranking is to generate revenue through blog driven sales. If I was to rank by subscriber numbers only, more than likely the top-10 systems would all be free and this exercise would be futile.

System Vendors are responsible for the information submitted for publication on this blog. Subscribers joining such systems should contact the system vendors directly if they have any particular query that needs to be addressed. The purpose of this blog is to promote systems which give the highest subscriber satisfaction. I am a looking to help would-be subscribers obtain the necessary background information in selecting a vendor. The more forthcoming a vendor is in detailing their current or former trades, the more subscribers they will (hopefully) get.

For Vendors:

Vendors who are invited to contribute, and accept the invitation, will be added as a Blog Author

The first article submitted from a vendor should be an introductory profile piece, including the following information:

[1] Name
[2] Occupation (yes - it may seem obvious, but some may run part-time systems)
[3] Length of time in Trading Business
[4] Contact information / Company information / Link to Website or Blog (to be added to the Blogroll)
[5] Name of System(s)
[6] Description of System including trading strategy and money management tactics

Optional Information:

[7] Top 3 Investing Websites or Blogs
[8] Top 3 Investment/Trading Books
[9] Favorite Brokerage firm
[10] Useful seminars attended or educational DVD's purchased.

Introductory information will be linked to the "Vendor Profile" section of the blog. There is no word limit for this information.

System posts should be between 100 and 500 words long and include no more than 5 images. I won't have time to edit more information than this.

Each system will be allowed five posts per week. Vendors with multiple systems ranked in the top-10 will be allowed five posts, per system, per week. Vendors are not required to fulfill their five posts per week limit. What I want to prevent is having vendors overwhelming the Blog with multiple posts per day. Abuse of the system will see vendors removed.

Vendors are free to request removal of their system from this blog if they don't wish to contribute articles. New vendors will be sought to replace them. Failure to publish one post per month will be viewed as a de facto "Cancellation" by a featured Vendor.

Vendors with a top-10 system, but operating multiple systems, will only be able to publish trades associated with the system ranked in the blog. Vendors are free to include information on other systems they provide in their Introductory piece which will be linked from posts made by the vendor.

Only invited vendors will be allowed post to the blog. I want to limit this blog to established systems which have the most proactive vendors, highest subscriber satisfaction rating, and highest revenue (for Vendor, Collective2, and me!).

Vendors are free to link to my White Label Page.

Images should be less than 520 pixels wide and have a white background and border (see below). Annotations to charts with or without technical indicators are welcome; annotations help detail the process of the trade:

Vendor can include pricing information for their system, including any free trial period.

At the bottom of each post will be a link showing the discussed system of the vendor. For the introductory post there will be link to all the systems run by the vendor. This is the part I will edit on contributed posts to include the White Label link used to assess the ranking.

The more sales vendors drive through the blog, the higher the rank they will have on the blog. I will be responsible for promoting this site through Fallondpicks.com and other blogging sites and driving foot traffic to the blog.
